Wild Edible Salad Guide at San Diego Sierra Talks

July 3 @ 6:30 pm8:00 pm

Wild Edible Salad Guide was created to introduce edible plant identification as an activity that can inspire increased connection with nature, friends, and family! Michelle Howard and Michelle Renaud envisioned this guide being used by both adults and children to identify common edible plants while adventuring together, nibbling along the way and building a salad to enjoy.

Join Michelle Renaud as she explains how the descriptions, images, and characteristics cited in the Wild Edible Salad Guide can be used to begin your own nature connection journey. Over time, similar to recognizing a friend while walking down the street, you will find yourself developing “threads of connection” with the plants in this guide. With a bit of practice, you can confidently share this knowledge with friends and family, and notice that those “threads of connection” become stronger – more like ropes – because of the joyful memories created while making wild salads together!
