Emily Soye Miller
Emily Soye Miller is a Sustainable Seafood research associate for California Sea Grant, dedicated to building resilient community seafood systems that balance human well-being, economic vitality, and environmental health. She directs the Fishful Future education and outreach campaign, which closes gaps in consumer seafood knowledge while encouraging informed participation in regional seafood systems. Her approach draws from an educational background in ecology, evolution, and marine ecosystems, complemented by six y7ears as an at-sea commercial fisheries observer and four years as a consultant and community liaison for fisheries economics projects in coastal communities. Emily holds dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration, and Food systems from Prescott College.
